Feeding deer—supplementing or baiting?
Wildlife biologists are often asked what and when deer should be fed. “Are you sure they need supplemental feed?” is the usual response they get from Ken Cearley, Texas Cooperative Extension wildlife specialist at Canyon.

Aflatoxin tainted feed could hurt wild game
Supplemental feeding of game species such as white-tailed deer and bobwhite quail is a common practice on many Texas ranches. Some urban and suburban landowners also use backyard feeders to attract birds to view and photograph.
